Our overall rating
Reviews of Rohit and the 6K guiding team, from Google. Trek named as the reviewer wrote it.
Every review on this page is a real Google review left under the reviewer's own name, quoted word for word. We have not edited them, we have not curated them, and we have never paid for one. Crucially, we have not relabelled them: where a reviewer wrote that they walked to Annapurna Base Camp, that is what the card below says, even though this site is about the Annapurna Circuit. Rewriting someone's trek to match the page they land on would be inventing a testimonial, and we are not doing that.
Four reviews of our guiding team, in full
These four are quoted in full below, exactly as they appear on Google, with the trek and date the reviewer gave. Sander's is the one we point trekkers at most often, because it describes the decision we would make again on the Manang side of the Circuit: hold the group and wait, rather than push into bad weather because the schedule says so.
He took us up to Annapurna Base Camp. We had bad weather, so Rohit decided to wait a day when other guides kept going up. Due to avalanche-risk, this was the obviously the best decision.
Had an amazing 9 day Annapurna Base Camp Sanctuary Trek this June with Rohit and his team. His fantastic organisation, hosting, knowledge and professionalism makes Rohit a fabulous choice of guide.
Undertook Annapurna Base Camp Trek along with Rohit in first week of April 2025. His detailed knowledge and experience of the terrain and weather helped us having an awesome experience.
This was my second trek with Rohit. Both experiences were absolutely fantastic. He takes care of all the logistics, finds great tea houses, and adjusts the pace perfectly for everyone.
What the reviews consistently say
Four reviews is a small sample to draw themes from, so treat this as a summary of what we hear rather than a statistical claim. Three things come up repeatedly across the full 90+ on our Google profile:
| Weather judgement | The willingness to lose a day rather than walk into avalanche or storm risk. On the Circuit this matters most on the night before Thorong La, where the decision to cross or wait is made at High Camp at 04:30 in the morning. |
|---|---|
| Pacing | Reviewers mention the pace being adjusted for the slowest person in the group rather than the fastest. That is the same habit that keeps sleeping-altitude gain sensible through Manang. See our altitude sickness guide. |
| Logistics and teahouses | Finding beds in high season, sorting permits, and handling the small day-to-day organisation. On the Circuit in October this is a real skill, not a nicety. |
What you will not find here is a claim about how many UK trekkers have reviewed us, or a breakdown by UK city. We do not hold that data in a form we can evidence, so we are not publishing it.
How we collect and verify reviews
Our process is deliberately boring, because that is what makes it trustworthy:
- After your trek finishes, we send one message inviting you to review us on Google under your own name. We do not chase, and we do not send a second reminder.
- We never offer a discount, a refund, a tip rebate or anything else in exchange for a review.
- We never ask a reviewer to change or delete a review, and we cannot remove one. They sit on Google's profile, not on ours.
- When we quote a review on this site we quote it verbatim, keep the reviewer's own description of their trek, and label the source.
- If a review raises a genuine problem, we answer it publicly on the profile and fix the underlying issue.
The full standard we hold ourselves to, including how we handle corrections, is in our editorial policy.
Verified on Google
Our complete review history lives on our Google Business Profile. Once your trek is finished you will be invited to leave a review there under your own name, and it will appear whether it is flattering or not.
Leave a review
Already trekked with us? Leaving a public review is the single most useful thing you can do to help the next trekker choose a responsible operator, especially on a route with a pass as serious as Thorong La. We never pay for reviews and we never ask you to change one.
